Procedure to register to enter the member section on the SAVA website:
- Go to www.sava.co.za
- Click on 'Members Section'
- In the left column under 'New User Registration' type in the unique passhprase (get it from SAVA if you do not have it) and click on 'Submit'
- Complete the fields required to register and click on 'Register'
- A message saying 'Your account has been created and an activation link has been sent to the e-mail address you entered. Note that you must activate the account by clicking on the activation link when you get the e-mail before you can login.' will appear.
- An e-mail will be sent to you with the following information:
Hello Name Surname,
Thank you for registering at SAVA Members Section. Your account is created and must be activated before you can use it.
To activate the account click on the following link or copy-paste it in your browser:
After activation you may login to http://www.vetassociation.co.za/membersection/ using the following username and password:
Username: xxxxxxxx
Password: xxxxxx
- Click on the link sent to your e-mail address. You will receive a message saying 'Your Account has been successfully activated. You can now log in using the username and password you chose during the registration.'
- Now click on 'Login' or click on the link (http://www.vetassociation.co.za/membersection/) which you received in the e-mail and log in by typing your user name and password.
- Please note that an e-mail will also be sent to the administrator every time a new user is created, so if you are not a legitimate member of SAVA your registration will be de-activated.
SAVA members and veterinary students are privy to a menu of services and information on this site that are not accessible to the general public. Login may be required to authenticate the user's access to some site pages. If you are a veterinarian or veterinary student, contact us to obtain your SAVA ID or password, or call the SAVA at (012) 346-1150.
If you are not currently a member and would like to become a member complete an application form and make sure you have it signed by a proposer and seconder. The form can then either be faxed to 012 346 2929 or e-mailed to

. Your application will be processed and once membership has been granted you will receive written notification via post confirming your membership details.
